The idea for crowdfunding is simple: A large group of people come together and each person contributes a small donation to fund a project or business. One popular site is Kickstarter which funds creative projects in the fields of music, film, art, technology, design, food and publishing. Another example is Peerbackers created with entrepreneurs in mind.
