Did you just lose your job? It must be the right time to find your passion.

It has been said that the next generation will change careers eight times in their working lives. Eight times! Having had only three jobs on the same career path since 1979, this statistic staggers me. However, when a job loss occurs to one of my generation, a total career change may make sense for several  reasons. But the most important reason is that at this stage, you know who you are and what you have passion about. If you are forced into looking for a job, use this as an opportunity to get what you want. You’ll need to spend full-time hours looking for a job, but there are certain steps to take on that path. The first step is to write up a job description for your perfect job:

*      What type of work environment suits you best – big or small company
*      What types of work would you find pleasure doing
*      What is the minimum wage you need to pay your bills and survive
*      What benefits do you need; what would be an ideal package
*      How many weeks of vacation will you settle for
Concentrate on what you want, create a clear picture, and I’ll share ways to get there in my next blog.
