New Website Guidelines

The following points will help guide your thinking about your new web site.  

  • Target Viewers Who are the prime viewers that you hope to appeal to in your site?
  • Domain Name
    Check the availability of your proposed name. Once you have selected a name we can handle the registration details.
  • Key Words
    Write 5 or 6 key words that your target viewers are likely to enter in a search engine when looking for your site.
  • Site Description
    This will appear in the search engine's description of your site. 
    In 25 words or less, write a concise description of your site that includes your key words.
  • Pages
    Develop an outline of the distinct pages that you require. 
    Draft the content that you would like on each page.
  • Graphics
    Do you require custom graphics to be developed?
    Do you have an existing logo, banner, business card, or letterhead that can be modified and used so that your public image is consistent?
    Do you have existing photos and images, hardcopy or digital, that you would like to use?
  • Custom Scripts
    Do you require custom scripts: auto email subscription, bulk email to subscriber list, user forum(s), guestbook, etc. ?
  • Maintenance
    What degree of personal maintenance would you like to assume in order to keep your site current?

  • Interesting Websites
    Are there any websites which have a design or features that you would like to consider for your website?
