An option for planning your day

It took me 9 minutes to plan my day on Friday in just a few easy steps. I calculated the actual time I had to spend on projects outside of my meetings. It came to four hours. Since my rule of thumb is to only book 80% of available time,  my list looked like this:

8 – 8:48 = spent on a project (no interruptions permitted)
9 – 9:48 = financials (paying bills due through the next ten days)
2 – 2:27 = responded to e-mails
2:30 – 2:57 = made phone calls
3:15 – 3:27 = data entry (keeping up with my garage list, adding new tasks & recording tasks that are complete).
Did I get everything done before I left for my 4:30 p.m. meeting? Of course not. But, on a day with three meetings, I made the best of the time I had available.
Try this technique & see if it works for you.
