So there you are: sitting in front of the computer trying to find the right words for your brochure ("what word means low cost, efficient and innovative?"), looking for the right question to ask a client for a testimonial ("I know you like me; but why do you like me?") and wondering what you can say in your blog that you haven't already said a million times.

It's time to hire a freelance writer.

Professional writers work fast to deliver online and print content targeted for your customers. And your content can't start working for you until it's written and delivered. While it remains in your head or in draft form on your computer, you're losing potential business.

With success stories and testimonials, some questions are just awkward for a business owner to ask. Longer projects, like websites and user manuals, require days of concentrated effort. Recurring projects, like newsletters and blogs, tax even the most inventive business owner's patience and store of knowledge. In general, writing clearly, accurately and completely about yourself is hard work and a distraction from your primary business.

By contrast, interviews, research and writing are my entire business, as they are for any professional marketing communications or technical writer.

I'd be grateful to hear about the driving force in your decision to hire a freelance writer.
